Privacy Policy

Neiroha Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Preludio mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Preludio stores your personal content locally on your device. This includes:

• User Profile Information: Name and avatar color preference
• Practice Data: Practice session dates, durations, mood ratings, and notes
• Song Library: Song names, composers, categories, and ratings
• Lesson Notes: Text entries, photos, and videos you capture during lessons
• App Preferences: Settings such as metronome tempo and review mode preferences

This data is stored in a local database on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. If you turn on iCloud Sync, some of this data is also stored in your own private iCloud database — see iCloud Sync below.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we automatically collect certain information to help us improve the App and fix issues:

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide App Functionality: Store and manage your practice data, songs, and lesson notes locally on your device
• Improve the App: Analyze anonymous usage patterns to understand which features are most valuable
• Fix Issues: Identify and resolve bugs, crashes, and technical problems

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Mixpanel (Analytics)

We use Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage analytics. Mixpanel receives your anonymous Installation ID and app usage events. For more information, see Mixpanel's Privacy Policy.

Sentry (Error Tracking)

We use Sentry to collect crash reports and error logs. This helps us identify and fix problems in the App. For more information, see Sentry's Privacy Policy.

Apple iCloud (Sync — Optional)

If you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings, your practice data is stored in your own private iCloud database, under your Apple Account, so it can be shared between your devices.

What is synced: profiles, practice sessions, lesson note text, songs and ratings, practice lists, achievements, reminders, and the photos and audio recordings you capture.

What is not synced: videos, unless you choose to sync a specific video (or a lesson's videos) yourself. Videos you have not opted in remain on the device that recorded them.

Important:

• iCloud Sync is off by default and can be turned off again at any time in Settings
• Your synced data goes to your private iCloud database — it is not sent to our servers, and we have no access to it
• Because the data lives in your iCloud account, it is not removed when you uninstall the App. You can delete it from your device's iCloud settings
• Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Your personal content (practice data, songs, lesson notes, photos, and videos) is stored locally on your device. Photos, videos, and audio recordings never leave your device
• No Upload to Our Servers: We do not upload your personal content to our servers
• iCloud Sync (Optional): If you enable iCloud Sync, your practice data is also stored in your own private iCloud database under your Apple Account. It is not accessible to us. See Apple iCloud above
• Data Deletion: Your locally stored data is deleted when you uninstall the App. Data synced to iCloud persists in your Apple Account until you delete it from your device's iCloud settings
• Anonymous Analytics: Analytics data sent to third-party services uses only anonymous identifiers

Device Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

• Camera: To capture photos and videos for your lesson notes
• Photo Library: To save captured photos and videos to your device's photo library (optional feature)
• Microphone: For the Tuner's live pitch/note detection and to record audio during practice sessions

You can manage these permissions at any time through your device's Settings.

Children's Privacy

Preludio is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address below, and we will take steps to delete such information.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access Your Data: All your practice data is stored locally on your device and accessible within the App
• Delete Your Data: You can delete all your data by uninstalling the App from your device
• Opt Out of Analytics: You can limit analytics collection by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" in your device settings

Data Retention

• Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App
• Analytics Data: Retained by Mixpanel according to their data retention policies
• Crash Reports: Retained by Sentry according to their data retention policies

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on our website. Changes are effective when they are posted.
