Privacy Policy

Neiroha Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Mathlet mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

Information Stored on Your Device and in Your iCloud

Mathlet stores your profiles and practice history on your device. This includes:

• Profiles: The name and avatar you choose for each profile
• Practice History: The date and time of each practice, the questions asked, the answers given, whether each answer was correct, and how long each answer took
• Progress: Facts learned, speed, and practice streaks, worked out from the practice history
• Practice Settings: Session length, time limit, answer method (keypad or voice), chosen times tables, number ranges, and speed goals
• App Preferences: Settings such as appearance, answer sounds, undo, and missed-facts focus

This data is stored in a database on your device. If iCloud is turned on for Mathlet, your profiles, practice history, and practice settings also sync through your private iCloud account, so they appear on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Apple stores this data in your iCloud account, and we cannot access it. App preferences stay on each device. Nothing is sent to our servers.

Voice Answers

If you turn on voice answers, Mathlet listens through the microphone so you can say answers out loud. Speech is turned into numbers entirely on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Your voice is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere, including to us.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we automatically collect anonymous usage information to help us understand how Mathlet is used and to improve it:

What we never collect: profile names, avatars, the specific questions or answers, voice audio, your name, email address, contacts, or precise location. We have turned off Mixpanel's IP-based location lookup, and we do not link analytics data to your identity.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide App Functionality: Store practice history, show progress, and, if iCloud is on, keep your devices in sync
• Improve the App: Analyze anonymous usage patterns to understand which features are most valuable
• Fix Issues: Spot problems such as data that failed to save or voice answers that could not start

We do not show ads, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell your information.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Mixpanel (Analytics)

We use Mixpanel to collect the anonymous usage analytics described above. Mixpanel receives your anonymous Installation ID and app usage events. For more information, see Mixpanel's Privacy Policy.

Apple (Purchases and Speech Recognition)

Mathlet PRO subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, Apple Account, or payment details; the App only checks with Apple whether PRO is active on your device. Voice answers use Apple's on-device speech recognition, which runs on your device. iCloud sync uses your own private iCloud account, which we cannot access. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data Storage and Security

• Device Storage: Profiles, practice history, progress, and settings are stored on your device
• iCloud Sync: If iCloud is on for Mathlet, profiles, practice history, and practice settings sync through your private iCloud account, which we cannot access. You can turn this off for Mathlet in the Settings app, under your name, then iCloud
• No Upload to Our Servers: We do not upload your profiles or practice history to our servers
• Data Deletion: You can delete a practice session or a profile within the App; with iCloud on, it is also deleted from iCloud and your other devices. Uninstalling the App deletes the data on that device. To delete the copy in iCloud, open the Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud, and manage your storage for Mathlet
• Anonymous Analytics: Analytics data sent to Mixpanel uses only randomly generated identifiers

Device Permissions

The App may request the following permissions, only if you choose to use voice answers:

• Microphone: To listen for spoken answers during practice
• Speech Recognition: To turn spoken answers into numbers on your device

Mathlet works fully with the on-screen keypad if you do not grant these permissions. You can manage them at any time through your device's Settings.

Contacting Us by Email

If you send feedback from the App, your email app opens a message to us that includes the App version, iOS version, and device model, to help us look into your message. We use your email address and message only to reply to you.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Profile names, avatars, and practice history stay on the device and, if iCloud is on, in your private iCloud account, which we cannot access. Voice answers are processed on the device and never recorded, and the analytics we collect are anonymous.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address below, and we will take steps to delete such information.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access Your Data: All profiles and practice history are on your device (and, if iCloud is on, in your iCloud account) and accessible within the App
• Delete Your Data: You can delete individual practice sessions or profiles within the App, delete the data on a device by uninstalling the App, and delete the iCloud copy in the Settings app under your name, then iCloud
• Ask Questions: You can contact us at any time with questions or requests about your data

Data Retention

• Device Data: Retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App
• iCloud Data: Retained in your iCloud account until you delete it in the App or in iCloud settings
• Analytics Data: Retained by Mixpanel according to their data retention policies

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on our website. Changes are effective when they are posted.
